Under Nepal Rastra Bank rules a bank can lend at most 60% of a private vehicle's value, petrol or electric, so plan for at least 40% down.
The 10% rate is only an example. Each bank sets its own, and rates move with the base rate — check current offers before you apply.
Not included: bank service charges, insurance, registration and road tax.
